This week marks Learning Disability Week, an annual UK campaign that shines a light on the experiences, achievements, and everyday lives of people with a learning disability. Taking place from 15 to 21 June, the week brings together individuals, families, carers, and organisations across the country to challenge misconceptions and champion greater understanding.
The theme for 2026 is “Do you see me?”, a powerful and simple question that asks us all to pause and reflect. It’s a call to ensure that people with a learning disability are truly seen, heard, and valued, not just during this week, but in every part of daily life, from the workplace to the wider community.
