At Egret, the safety and wellbeing of the young people in our homes is at the heart of everything we do. That commitment extends to making sure that every member of our team is properly equipped to respond in the event of a medical emergency, which is why we regularly invest in thorough, hands-on first aid training for our staff.
This week, our team came together for two dedicated training days, giving staff the opportunity to refresh and build on their first aid knowledge in a practical, supportive environment.
Over the course of the sessions, staff worked through a range of essential skills, including CPR, abdominal thrusts, and how to assess and respond to a variety of medical situations quickly and confidently. The training is designed not just to meet regulatory requirements, but to give our team the knowledge and composure to act decisively when it matters most.
