Location: Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire
Salary: £14 per hour (Unqualified) / £15 per hour (Qualified) + £50 sleep in payment
Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a rota (24/7 service)
Egret Care provides highquality, personcentred support to children and young people aged with
additional needs and complex life experiences. We are expanding our team and looking for caring,
resilient and motivated Residential Support Workers to join our Ofsted registered children’s homes.
About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support young people in their daily lives at home and in the
community. Your role is to help them build independence, resilience and positive relationships. You
will work as part of a supportive team to deliver safe, nurturing and childcentred care.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Supporting young people with daily routines, health needs, activities, education and leisure
• Building positive and trusting relationships
• Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and emotional resilience
• Recording daily notes and contributing to care plans
• Working collaboratively with families, professionals and the wider community
• Participating in training, supervision and team meetings
Sleepins and occasional waking nights may be required. Staff may also support holidays or activities
away from the home (agreed in advance).

• No safeguarding concerns and ability to obtain an enhanced DBS
Desirable:
• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or willingness to work towards it as an
Ofsted requirement
• Experience in residential childcare
• Driving licence
