Role Description

As Night Concierge, you’ll ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of young people during the night. You’ll be there to respond to emergencies, monitor the environment and provide a calm, supportive presence when needed.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hrs/week, £24,000), based in Stoke-on-Trent, reporting to our
Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, clean and calm environment overnight
  • Carry out routine checks on facilities and record maintenance issues
  • Ensure the safety and security of all young people during the night
  • Monitor CCTV, complete welfare checks and respond to incidents appropriately
  • Keep accurate records and ensure effective handovers to day staff
  • Report any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate staff or Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) immediately
  • Build positive, professional relationships with young people, offering reassurance when needed
  • Promote and support positive behaviour in line with individual care plans
  • Work in line with safeguarding, Ofsted standards and organisational policies

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in supported accommodation with young people (essential)
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed care
  • Understanding of key legislation re: housing, mental health, equality and health & safety
  • Previous experience of working with confidential information and maintaining its security
  • Strong communication and time management skills, calm under pressure, empathetic and resilient
  • Confident using IT systems for record keeping
